Cyber Defense Agent provides:

External cybersecurity scanning — automated assessment of publicly observable security configurations for domains you submit, including DNS, TLS, email authentication, HTTP headers, and open ports.
Cyber Defense Scoring — a proprietary score based on scan results that indicates your organization's external security posture relative to cyber insurance underwriting criteria.
Insurance quote matching — connecting your business with cyber liability insurance carriers based on the information you provide in quote request forms.
Compliance mapping — informational mapping of scan results to regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, HIPAA, FTC Safeguards Rule, etc.).

3. No Insurance Guarantee

Cyber Defense Agent is a cybersecurity assessment and insurance readiness platform. We do not guarantee that you will be approved for cyber liability insurance, receive a specific premium rate, or obtain coverage from any particular carrier. Insurance eligibility and pricing are determined solely by insurance carriers based on their own underwriting criteria. Our scores, recommendations, and readiness assessments are informational tools to help you improve your security posture and prepare for the underwriting process.

4. Scan Limitations

Our scans assess only externally observable configurations. They do not evaluate internal networks, endpoints, employee behavior, physical security, or policies that are not publicly visible.
Scans identify known vulnerabilities and misconfigurations but cannot detect all threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, or advanced persistent threats.
A high Cyber Defense Score does not mean your organization is immune to cyberattacks. A low score does not necessarily mean a breach is imminent.
Scan results represent a point-in-time snapshot. Your security posture may change as configurations, services, and threats evolve.

By using our services, you agree to:

Only scan domains you own or are authorized to scan. You must have explicit permission from the domain owner before initiating a scan. Unauthorized scanning of third-party domains is prohibited.
Provide accurate and truthful information in quote requests and account registration.
Not use our services to conduct attacks, exploit vulnerabilities, or engage in any illegal activity.
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our scanning algorithms or scoring models.
Not use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-access our services beyond normal use.

7. Intellectual Property

The Cyber Defense Score, scoring methodology, scan reports, website content, and all associated branding are the intellectual property of Cyber Defense Agent. You may share your own scan results and trust pages but may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute our proprietary tools, algorithms, or content without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cyber Defense Agent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to: losses from cyberattacks that occur despite using our services, insurance application denials, business interruption, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using our services at any time.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
